Is a Laptop Computer better than a Desktop Computer?

Are laptop computers better than desktop computers? I don't think so, but today I was reminded of one the reasons why most Filipinos buy one form of laptop or another. It's because a laptop battery is included and can usually last up to three hours or more, depending on what applications are being run. A backup power supply for a desktop computer has to be purchased separately.

The MSI Wind Trackpad (Touchpad) was Driving Me Crazy

MSI Wind - black When I was trying to install a bunch of software on my shiny new MSI Wind U100 LXP+ netbook, the trackpad (also called a touchpad) was driving me crazy. If I just brushed the trackpad while typing, it would interpret it as a click and defeat half of what I was trying to do. I stopped installing software (the software I wanted to install at the time) in order to find a driver that would let me control the trackpad better.
